Standard Engineering Technology's Glass Lined Agitated Nutsche Filter Dryer (ANFD) is a multifunctional system that carries out solid-liquid separation, filtration, washing and drying within a single sealed vessel. Combining the corrosion resistance of our proprietary Stanglass lining with a robust hydraulic operating system, these units are built for the most demanding pharmaceutical, chemical, agrochemical and food processing environments.

Every ANFD is designed and manufactured to international standards, ensuring maximum performance, product purity and operator safety across batch processes.

Construction

  • Wetted process surfaces: Stanglass glass lining
  • Vessel body: Carbon Steel or Stainless Steel with full glass lining
  • Upper vessel: Cylindrical shell with dished top end, flanged bottom joint and full jacket
  • Lower vessel: Flat-bed filter support for PTFE filter media and cloth, with full jacket
  • Agitator: Bellow seal for improved sealing, heating and mixing at the vessel centre
  • Discharge: Hydraulically operated discharge valve and lower part opening

Design Conditions

  • Design pressure: Full Vacuum (FV) to 4.5 kg/cm² (g)
  • Design temperature: Up to 200°C
  • Vacuum operation: Yes, for faster drying
  • Heating and cooling: Upper and lower jacket connected to external heating source
  • Design standards: DIN, ASME, BS, PED
  • Certifications: ASME U-Stamp, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 27001:2022, ISO 45001:2018

How It Works

  • Loading: Slurry or wet material is loaded into the vessel
  • Filtration: Agitation and heating under vacuum separate solids from liquids
  • Washing: The solid cake is washed with a suitable solution to remove impurities
  • Drying: The agitator rotates to break up and dry the cake through heating and vacuum
  • Discharge: Dried cake is discharged through the hydraulically operated valve
